My husband left me for another woman. I feel hurt, bitter and alone. Is it wrong if I begin a sexual relationship with another man or go on to marry someone else? I feel all alone.

I’m sorry to read about your current challenges in your home and I can only imagine how hurt you are. Have you discussed this with your husband’s family members or persons that have some form of persuasive influence over him, perhaps they can reach out to him and talk sense into him? I do not wish to downplay whatever emotional needs you may be having at this time but regarding starting a “sexual” relationship with another man, I do not advocate this, on the assumption that you are Christian, that would simply be adultery.
Some laws on abandonment talk about a maximum of one year before recognizing what your husband did as abandonment. I suggest you speak to a lawyer about that.
Nevertheless, my dear sister, please talk this over with the Holy Spirit. Pour out your heart, your pain, your hurt and how you feel to the Holy Spirit, and let Him guide you and give His peace in this troubling time. It is well.
